The eviction ban, due to end on March 31, has ravaged the political discourse of late, with the traditional property owners’ party, Fine Gael, reaping a small benefit and Sinn Féin’s support holding firm at 31 per cent
Support for Fianna Fáil and the Green Party has dropped during the controversy over the ending of the eviction ban, according to the latest Business Post/Red C poll.
But Fine Gael, a party which is traditionally seen as a staunch defender of the rights of property owners, has slightly increased its support for the first time since last November.
