Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, real name Michael Peter Balzary, has welcomed his first child with wife Melody Ehsani after tying the knot back in October 2019

The bassist, 60, real name Michael Peter Balzary, confirmed the arrival of his and 42 year old Melody's first baby on the Babylon red carpet on Thursday.

The newborn is Melody's first child and the third for musician Flea, who also shares 34 year old daughter Clara with his ex-wife Loesha Zeviar as well as daughter Sunny Bebop, 17, with ex-fiancée Frankie Rayder. Flea has been open about his excitement over becoming a dad for the third time, and just days before Melody gave birth he spoke to PEOPLE about how he loves being a dad.

In 2019, Flea got hitched for a second time when he and Melody tied the knot in stunning ceremony in Los Angeles.
