It’s the first time a Redmagic device has been available globally in this configuration. My review unit was the Moonlight model with 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage and 16GB of superfast LPDDXR5 RAM.
In everyday use, this machine delivers unparalleled speed and efficiency for not just gaming but for multitasking too. The Snapdragon chip is aided by the firm’s AI RedCore 3 chip. Apps launch instantly and switching apps is as fast and fluid an experience as you would wish. Animations are super smooth. Redmagic 10 Pro can run the most advanced games on top graphics settings at fluid frame rates.
Gemini AI Redmagic 10 Pro runs Android 15 with Redmagic AI OS 10.0 overlaid which means that for the first time, a Redmagic device offers AI powered by Google Gemini. This means your handset includes the latest cutting-edge features such as real-time translation, image-to-text, photo editing and smart assistance to elevate your gaming experience. And if you have a Gemini Advanced subscription you can also avail of an array of premium AI features such as real-time chat with Gemini Live.
Design and build Redmagic10 Pro continues with the firm’s unique and exceptional translucent design - I am a big fan of its minimal industrial boxy look. It’s taller and thicker than many other phones but it’s a given that gaming handsets are larger. And unlike almost every other phone I can think of, apart from Redmagic 9S Pro, there is no camera bump so its rear is completely flat.
Redmagic 10 Pro supports 100W fast charging but the charger in the box is an 80W GaN charger. I’ve tested it with both the included charger and a couple of 100W chargers I have at home and the difference in charging times is less than 10 minutes. The GaN charger in the box is what I will use going forward. Its GaN technology improves overall power conversion efficiency. This means GaN chargers deliver more power in less time. And GaN chargers run 22 percent cooler than non-GaN chargers.
