Gardaí believe the discovery of human remains in a burnt out car in Drumcondra is linked to the disappearance of a teeanger in Co Louth
Gardaí believe the discovery is linked to the disappearance of a 17-year-old boy in Co Louth on Sunday night.The partial human remains were found after Dublin Fire Brigade extinguished a burning car on a laneway at Trinity Terrace off Clonliffe Road at around 1.30am.
The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist's Office and the Garda Technical Bureau have been informed. Detectives in Dublin suspect that human limbs discovered in a sports bag on a road in Coolock on Monday night may be those of the missing teenager.The teenager has not been seen for over two days and his sister has posted on social media that she could not contact him and that he had not texted her as he usually did.
Last night, gardaí carried out at least four searches in Drogheda and the surrounding area in relation to the missing teenager, in Moneymore, Rathmullen Park, Cement Road and in Gormanston. The locations are linked to the main figures in both of Drogheda's feuding criminal gangs, to which gardaí believe the teenager was linked.They were also searching for evidence in relation to a shooting on Monday on the Peace Bridge, where a gunman fired at one of the main figures in the feud, but shot and injured the taxi driver instead.
