The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a low chance of tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico within the next five days. In this case, it’s for a system that already exists, but in the Pacific Ocean.

While it’ll dissipate over Mexico not long after, its remnants could make it into the Bay of Campeche in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico next week. You can see that in some of the spaghetti model tracks.

Spaghetti models or plots show a series of individual computer forecast models together on one map. They are useful to give insight into whether multiple models are in agreement or not on the path of the storm but they do not address the storm’s forecast intensity, winds, flooding and storm surge potential or other data. Odds of Agatha’s remains redeveloping there within the next five days are low.
