The report from the Department of Communities showed that there has been a 6% rise in child poverty in the last year

The annual Northern Ireland Poverty and Income Inequality report 2022-23 was released on Wednesday, showing that a quarter of children are living in 'relative poverty'.

The head of a children's charity here described the figures as 'shocking' and says that children are consistently being failed in NI. "It is devastating that 1 in 4 children are being consistently failed in Northern Ireland and we implore those in power to treat this as the outrage it is and act.
