A fire inspector will follow up before the restaurant reopens to ensure issues with its suppression system and alarms have addressed.
On Wednesday just after 6 p.m., the department received a report of a deep fryer on fire in the 2500 block of 8th Street East, a media release said. People evacuated the restaurant.
The restaurant’s natural gas was shut off and SaskEnergy requested to inspect the utility service for damage.
