A couple found dead Tuesday at a northwest Harris County residence in an apparent murder-suicide are believed to be retired members of the sheriff's office, authorities from that agency said.
Harris County deputies responded to a welfare check around 11 a.m. at a home in the 5300 block of Summit Hollow Drive near Queenston Boulevard and found a 68-year-old man and 59-year-old woman dead, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. It is unclear if the two were in a dating relationship or if they were married but both were retired members of the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Gonzalez added."He was deputy that served for many years with our agency and been retired a little longer, close to 10 years now, and she retired, I believe as a detention officer, approximately four or five years ago," Gonzalez said.
