Richard Flood has revealed that he 'doesn't miss' working on Grey's Anatomy after leaving the medical drama last year.

He played the ruggedly handsome Irish doctor, Dr Cormac Hayes. However, he has now said that he doesn’t “miss” appearing on the medical drama.

“I want that challenge. With Grey’s there’s such a big cast, you’re only in two or three days a week. I also like being on location, as we were in New Zealand. He went on to say: “I like that aspect of the acting industry where you get to collaborate and get to know others. Grey’s didn’t feel like that to me.”Richard has since left behind Los Angeles and is now based in Rome with his wife, Gabriella Pession and their son.

He admitted that he found LA to be “a lonely city”, adding that there’s “something a bit dark about the place for me”.
