Richard Keys expresses his disapproval of Jamie Carragher's comment towards Kate Abdo during the Champions League broadcast. Carragher made a joke about Abdo wearing an Arsenal shirt on air, leading to an uncomfortable exchange. Keys believes Carragher crossed the line and believes Abdo deserves better treatment.
Richard Keys has slammed Jamie Carragher 's comment to Kate Abdo during the broadcast of last night's Champions League action. The Gunners beat their Portuguese counterparts 4-2 on penalties to book their spot in the quarter-finals. He then suggested Henry and Abdo should be next to wear the Arsenal shirt on air, prompting an awkward exchange with the CBS Sports host. Carragher said: 'You can wear it next and for the last part you have got to wear it.
' Carragher responded: 'You're not loyal to Malik,' referencing Abdo's boyfriend Malik Scott. Henry and Richards cut a sheepish reaction to Carragher's joke in a very awkward moment. The former Sky Sports presenter said Carragher 'crossed the line' and claimed Abdo deserves 'much better'. On X, he wrote: 'I think Kate Abdo is a top pro. I’ve no idea what Carragher is insinuating but he crossed the line again. How many more times? That show is like so many more these days - too ‘pally’. It was an accident waiting to happen. Abdo deserves much better
