RTE pundit Richie Sadlier praises broadcaster's rules for commentators during controversial World Cup

Footballer turned pundit Richie Sadlier says RTE have allowed them to have full freedom with their views whilst covering this year’s controversial World Cup and insisted - ‘I wouldn’t work for them if they were dictating us’.

The sportsman credited his employers for allowing him and his fellow pundits the freedom in their commentary, admitting he would never take the gig if they didn’t. He went on: “I wouldn’t cover the World Cup working for RTE if part of RTE’s coverage involved telling us what to say and telling us what not to say.
