Rihanna served a style statement of a different kind on her Instagram feed. The pregnant singer shared a post that showed her in a slogan T-shirt emblazoned with “Use A Condom”, which prompted a flurry of likes and comments.
’s influential maternity wardrobe – both now and while she was pregnant with her first baby, RZA – has been all about bump-baring crop tops and body-confident dresses. But she just made a different kind of style statement on her Instagram feed. The heavily pregnant singer posted a picture of herself wearing an oversized Savage X Fenty tee printed with the phrase “Use a Condom”.
“This shirt is old…” she quipped of her tongue-in-cheek choice of top, which she wore as a minidress with slouchy white boots and sunglasses. Given that Rihanna has clearly not been following her own style directive, her shirt was instantly tipped into ironic slogan tee territory – and it’s an excellent example of the genre.
