Ringside footage shows the moment that Davis landed a crushing uppercut on Santa Cruz, as sweat can be seen flying off his face.As soon as the punch lands, Santa Cruz collapses to the canvas and lies there unconscious as the referee waves off the bout.it even impressed former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor“My lord! What a vicious uppercut that was. Praying for the health and safety of Santa Cruz there,” McGregor tweeted.
Santa Cruz was taken to hospital following the fight and fortunately made a full recovery, but he has only fought once since.
