RIP.ie was launched in 2005 in order to allow funeral directors to post death notices online without any additional costs to the family - the new fee will come into effect in January
It will come into effect from January 2025, the website has confirmed.
“Investing in our service will ensure that RIP.ie remains a trusted resource for bereaved families across Ireland and for the hundreds of thousands of people who post messages of condolence to bereaved families on the site every week,” a statement has said, reports the Irish Independent.
