Actor Gianni Capaldi announced the death of his mother after a battle with cancer.
The Hamilton-born star of Blood of Redemption broke the sad news to his social media followers on Tuesday.
He shared an emotional statement alongside a photo of his mother with his daughter on Instagram, which read:"This morning, after a 12-year battle with cancer, the most precious light became extinguished. "Her courageous fight led to the surrender of vital organs and they in turn could not keep up with her brave amiable soul.
"Now it’s her turn to walk with the angels and the Lord. Memories of her infectious motherly love and kindness will live on and be celebrated. RIP my heart. 7/2/23"
