Robbers steal wads of cash after holding up cash-in-transit at Asda Accrington
Robbers have stolen a 'significant' quantity of cash after holding up a cash-in-transit driver at a supermarket in East Lancashire.
Police were called to the incident involving two offenders at Asda, off Hyndburn Road in Accrington. It happened at 9.51am on Wednesday . The force said a significant amount of money was taken during the robbery. Some of the cash has since been recovered.In a statement, Lancashire Constabulary said: "We would ask the public, particularly those local to the area or in the vicinity of Asda at the time, to check their CCTV, doorbell, mobile phone and dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything which could help our investigation.
