The Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon is making a comeback in San Diego this weekend with racers making their way through some of the city's most legendary neighborhoods.
Meryl Leventon, Rock 'n' Roll Race Director said this year's course will be packed with entertainment.
On Saturday, June 4, the 5K marathon begins at Presidents Way & Park Boulevard at 7:00 a.m. and it will end at Balboa Park. The half-marathon will end at University and Grime Avenues before the remainder of the racer finishes downtown at Ash and Union Streets. The marathon lasts around seven hours.One of them is 65-year-old legacy runner, John Prendergast, who's run every Rock 'n' Roll full marathon since the first one in 1998.
