The Spanish midfielder did help his cause with moaning and winging after losing to Scotland in March
Rodri's torment from Scotland fans has reached a new level with the winging Spanish star taking a slagging Still Game-style.
The Manchester City midfielder made matters worse for Luis de la Fuente's men in March at Hampden, using his post-match interview after Scotland scudded La Roja to blame Steve Clarke's men for time wasting and going down to easily. The only thing that went down was his Spanish side after a double from Scott McTominay sealed a memorable night in Mount Florida.
And Rodri will no doubt be the butt of the jokes again, with comedian and Still Game star Sanjeev Kohli, who plays Navid, revealing he's gutted injured Kieran Tierney won't be available to 'roast' the 27-year-old on his home turf in Seville. He told Sky Sports: "A key player is Rodri, I'm glad he's playing tonight. I would quite like him to lose his shizzle again. Sadly it looks like Tierney is hamstrung, he's out of the game.
"I would love to see Tierney roasting Rodri again. I mean to go public and say Scotland are rubbish...Mate, you don't know who you're dealing with, don't do that again." The midfielder spat the dummy out the pram back in March as he said after getting beat: "It's always wasting time. They provoke you. They always fall. For me, this is not football."
