Refugees claim that Facebook contributed to the genocide of the minority group by failing to appropriately moderate content

Meta is facing 17 High Court actions from Rohingya refugees who allege that the social media platform should pay for its role in the 2017 ethnic cleansing operations by the Myanmar army.

The cases, which were filed on Wednesday, were instituted by two Dublin-based firms, KOD Lyons, which is representing 12 refugees, and Abbey Law, which is representing another 5.
