This signing was confirmed by Al Nassr themselves on Friday night. A post on their Instagram showed the 37-year-old posing with the club’s shirt.“This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @cristiano to your new home @alnassr_fc.”
Ronaldo’s second spell with Manchester United ended in November with his departure by mutual consent, shortly after he criticised the club in an explosive interview with TalkTV. Speaking on the move to Al Nassr, Ronaldo claimed that “the vision that Al Nassr has is very inspiring”. “I’m thrilled for a new experience in a different league and a different country, the vision that Al Nassr has is very inspiring.It is more likely that Al Nassr’s money tempted Ronaldo into joining the Middle East side., but this includes a commercial deal’.
Ronaldo has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal that runs until 2025. This move sees him become the best-paid footballer of all-time.
