The Boyzone singer’s mother Marie passed away in February 1998, at the age of 51, from breast cancer
Ronan Keating has said his mother Marie didn't know enough about her "curable" breast cancer – as he plans to run 100km in June to help raise money for the Marie Keating Foundation.

Mum’s cancer was one of the most curable forms of breast cancer but unfortunately, she didn’t know enough about it. 100K in 30 Days was founded by Co Louth couple Niall Carroll and Cara McAdam in 2020 after Cara was diagnosed with breast cancer.
