A special episode of Room to Improve saw host Dermot Bannon team up with Julian Benson to design a house for families of people with Cystic Fibrosis. The project, named Tranquility House, provides a safe and comfortable space for families when they travel to Dublin for treatment. Julian, Dermot and a team of volunteers worked hard to convert an old Victorian house into four self-contained pods for families. In 2018, the dance expert founded the Julian Benson Foundation as a means of helping others who suffer from the disease.
By the end of the episode, the house was completely transformed as Julian's vision came to life. With multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and dining areas, Tranquility House is now available to use for those with Cystic Fibrosis.
