Edman Arnulfo Chipix, 20, has been charged with the fatal stabbing of William Chipix Simon, 25.The roommate of a West New York man who was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning has been charged with the murder, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said Monday.
Edman Arnulfo Chipix, 20, was arrested later Sunday at the prosecutor’s office in Jersey City, the prosecutor said. A news release did not say how or if the two men are related, nor did it provide a motive for the killing. Arnulfo Chipix is charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. He willWest New York police responded to 6414 Dewey Ave. on a report of an injured male just after 5 a.m. Sunday and found Chipix Simon with an apparent stab wound to his upper torso. Chipix Simon was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m.
