Rugby legend Rory Best feels more grateful than ever for his children’s health after becoming involved with Cancer Fund for Children.

In 2021 Rory raised over €1 million for the charity and has upped the stakes this year, challenging himself to walk through Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Galway and Mayo. Rory got involved with Cancer Fund For Children when he retired from rugby in 2019 because he wanted to focus his attention on “meaningful” and use his profile for good.

“Short breaks at Daisy Lodge provide children with cancer, a space to rest, time with their families and build connections with others their own age going through the same thing. “You know when you start you can’t do it forever, so you have to sink your teeth into something else.
