The faces of the new league will see their sides go head to head this evening.

Rory McIlroy's Boston Common team will face off with Tiger Woods ' Jupiter Links outfit in week three of the TGL on Monday evening.

McIlroy and Woods are the two faces of the tech-heavy, simulator golf league, and their clubs will square off in the most eagerly anticipated match-up to date. For McIlroy, this week will be the first time that he plays in the TGL as each team boasts a squad of four players with three picked to play for any given game.In a new spin on golf, the league sees two teams face off each week over 15 holes, with games scheduled to last no longer than two hours.

Each hole begins with teams hitting into a gigantic simulator screen, with the approach shots also being hit into the screen if the player is more than 50 yards from the hole.Once players get within 50 yards, they head to a special short game area inside the SoFi centre where they finish the hole out in a traditional manner on a green that is located on a huge, undulating turntable which changes the terrain of the green on every hole.
