Rory McIlroy's ex-Ryder Cup teammate Chris Wood is looking to put his recent struggles behind him by playing his way onto the LIV Golf setup for 2025.
In the years that have followed however, the Englishman has failed to find the form that saw him become one of his continent's top players, but he is keen to bounce back in Saudi Arabia this week. "I have had a difficult few years where I've struggled to want to go to the golf course, let alone play," he told Mirror Sport. "Whereas now I am much hungrier. The fire is very much alive for me to play. Results have been tough, but the first step was getting back onto the golf course and wanting to be there.
" has been on my radar this year," he said. "I was fortunate enough to get an invite this week. I am very lucky in that regard, but now you are here you feel like you have got to capitalise on that opportunity. In my position, I feel like I have achieved some good things in my career but feel I have so much more to go on to."
