Roy missing Souness already!
Sky Sports have been rolling out the whole 'Greatest Show on Earth' schtick, with Roy Keane as the grumpy but comic foil. At Stamford Bridge, this afternoon, the former Manchester United captain played up to that role.Peter Drury replaced Martin Tyler in the commentary gantry, Patrick Davidson filled Geoff Shreeves' shoes for the post-match interviews and former Chelsea and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge was a new face in the punditry team.
Following the game, Keane described Chelsea and Liverpool, who ended up drawing 1-1, as 'two average sides in the second half'.When Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold came out for a post-match natter with the Sky Sports crew, he got big embraces from Richards and Sturridge while reverting to a simple handshake with Keane.
There was then a hilarious moment when Sturridge, speaking to Alexander-Arnold, pulled out the line,"Keep it funky with ya boy.""Keep it funky with your boy" 🤣
