Roy Keane has taken to social media to break his silence on Erik ten Hag's sacking from Manchester United.
While the former Ajax boss has had his tactics, transfers and man management skills on occasion, Keane, as he has for many years, has consistently called for United's players to step up and show more character when the going gets tough. Sharing a selfie of himself drenched in rain while out for a hike, Keane posted: "In good teams, coaches hold players accountable. In great teams, players hold players accountable," a message which many believe is aimed at United's dressing room.
Keane, who last managed in 2011, has frequently been named as someone who some Manchester United fans would like to see given the job. Today, many took to social media to give Keane their backing.
