The royal family were seen rallying around Lady Gabriella Kingston at Royal Ascot this week in support as she made her first public appearance since the tragic death of her husband, Thomas.
Lady Gabriella Kingston had the support of the Royal family this week as she headed for a day out to Royal Ascot in her first public appearance since the tragic death of her husband, Thomas.
Arriving at Ascot racecourse, Lady Gabriella rode in the second royal carriage alongside Princess Anne, Peter Phillips and the King's riding manager, John Warren. One of the greatest shows of respect and admiration the monarch can make during Ascot week is personally inviting relatives or friends to ride in one of the four Ascot Landau carriages on each day of the procession.
An inquest revealed that Mr Kingston suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head on 25 February, at the age of 45. Thomas Kingston, a former hostage negotiator and financier, was the son of Martin and Jill Kingston, who have owned the grand mansion since 1996. Following her husband's death, Lady Gabriella, daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, has reportedly moved into Kensington Palace, not wishing to stay alone in the house they once shared, reports the Mirror.
