Figures released under Freedom of Information show that RTE executives spent more than €175,000 on corporate credit cards over a five-year period, including expenses on hotels, restaurants, bars, and events.
Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe said spending on RTE corporate credit cards appears to be in line with guidelines.
Figures released under Freedom of Information show RTE executives spent more than €175,000 on corporate credit cards over a five-year period.This included an estimated €56,000 on hotels, restaurants, bars and events including the Aviva Stadium, the Trocadero and the Shelbourne Hotel. “I think it is important to say... because part of how we rebuild trust in the future is also to say that there are guidelines in place in RTE.
“It is why the work the Government has commissioned in relation to culture and governance in RTE continues to be really important.
