RTÉ has revealed its lineup of Christmas films for the festive period, featuring both new releases and classic favorites. Among the highlights are 'Trespasses', 'Downton Abbey: The Extra', 'Catherine, Called Birdy', 'Top Gun: Maverick', and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. Classics such as 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom', 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade', and 'Die Hard 2' are also part of the lineup.
Christmas is just around the corner! The best part is bingeing telly with a devoured selection box. RTÉ has just released their list of Christmas films that will air over the festive period. Among the movies premiering on Irish television this Christmas is ' Trespasses ', adapted from John McGahern's celebrated novel. It tells the story of Joe and Kate Ruttledge leaving London to live and work in a small lakeside community in Ireland.
'Downton Abbey: The Extra' is another new addition, where the Dowager Countess becomes heir to a villa. 'Catherine, Called Birdy' is a coming-of-age story about Catherine, abandoned by her family at a young age and trying to fend for herself. For those who enjoy action, 'Top Gun: Maverick' is also on the list, where Maverick trains a group of elite Top Gun graduates for a high-profile mission. 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is another blockbuster where romance novelist Loretta Sage is kidnapped by a billionaire seeking a hidden treasure. Also premiering are family favorites like 'Minions 2: The Rise of Gru', where viewers meet Joe, a middle-school band teacher whose true passion is jazz. Classics such as 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom', 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade', and Bond classics including 'Die Hard 2' will also be available
