The 65-year-old said that although he’s eager to lead his Meath side to victory, his competitive streak has decreased as he’s gotten older. "So there isn't a burning determination to beat Dublin in the football?" the comedian asked his guest.Tommy and Colm shared a past connection, as the GAA manager once taught Tommy geography in the Navan secondary school where he was principal. The pair spoke about their Meath heritage and what it was like to come from a rural area. "We were looked on as big thick, ignorant effers!" Colm said, but spoke fondly of the "characters" he would encounter in his home county. "A lot of them were people who lived in cottages or worked on farms- and they may not have education beyond their primary schools but to me, a lot of them were the most clever people of all that I met."On Twitter, a fan said: “Don't think I've seen Tommy as happy or enjoy himself on his show as this few moments."
