Ruby Walsh has nominated his naps for each day of the Cheltenham Festival including a 12/1 shot in the Ryanair Chase. The legendary jockey is one of the shrewdest judges in horse racing and has cast his eyes over the four-day festival in the Cotswolds.

Walsh still plays an integral part in the Willie Mullins operation but he sidestepped the Closutton hopefuls on the opening day. Instead the ex-jockey has backed the Joseph-trained Beyond Your Dreams to shine in the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle. The JP McManus-gelding ran eight times on the flat before making his debut over hurdles in November when finishing second at Fairyhouse. He then ran an eye-catching race behind Total Look at Navan before getting off the mark on a return to Fairyhouse. On the second day, next Wednesday, Walsh nominated the Mullins-trained Copacabana in the Champion Bumper. The Blue Bresil gelding was an impressive debut winner of a hot bumper at Navan last month and quickly rose to the head of the betting for the Grade 1 at Cheltenham. Walsh fancies an outsider in the Ryanair Chase on the third day of the Festival in the shape of Jungle Boogie. Formerly trained by Mullins, Jungle Boogie moved to Henry de Bromhead's yard and is beginning to show the potential he showed as a youngster. The 11-year-old ran a great race in last year's Gold Cup and has been rested since winning at Ascot in December. Finally, Walsh thinks the value on the final day of the Festival lies with the Sam Curling-trained Angels Dawn in the Hunters' Chase. A winner at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival, Angels Dawn is fancied to be the class act in the hunters' chase.I’ll have to go for a price so I’ll go for Beyond Your Dreams . I think the obvious ones early in the card – Kopek Des Bordes , Majborough but look if you’re going for something at some bit of a price.”“I think it’s the hardest day, most handicaps, I think Jungle Boogie each-way in the Ryanair.”“Galopin Des Champs is the nap and I hope he wins but at 1-2 no-one’s going to want to hear that so Angels Dawn .”
