Ruby Walsh believes that several horses trained by Willie Mullins have a good chance of performing well at the Aintree Grand National meeting. Walsh's top pick for the opening day is Impaire Et Passe, who will compete against Bob Olinger in the William Hill Aintree Hurdle. He also has high hopes for Saint Roi, Baby Kate, and Grey Dawning.

Ruby Walsh fancies a number of Willie Mullins -trained horses to go close at Aintree when their Grand National meeting kicks off on Thursday.

The Closutton maestro dominated proceedings at last month's Cheltenham Festival and sends another strong team to Liverpool - and he still could go close to being crowned UK Champion Trainer for the first time. Impaire Et Passe has been kept fresh for Aintree and he is Walsh's nap on the opening day as he takes on Bob Olinger once again in the William Hill Aintree Hurdle. And the legendary jockey also fancies Saint Roi and Baby Kate for the Mullins team, while he thinks Grey Dawning will follow up his win in the Turners Novices' Chase with another success in Thursday's opening race, the Close Brothers Manifesto Novices' Chase.

Nicky Henderson will be hoping to get an early winner on the board at Aintree following an extremely disappointing Cheltenham and Walsh, who was speaking to Paddy Power, believes Sir Gino will give him one in the Juvenile Hurdle, while he fancies the Gordon Elliott-trained Gerri Colombe, who finished second in the Gold Cup last month, to win the William Hill Bowl Chase.
