Russia's president, Rasmussen said, didn't expect the West to come together to oppose his invasion of Ukraine. Now, China's leader was"Any attempt by China to change the status quo in Taiwan by force should spark an equally unified response, and we must make this clear to China now," the ex-leader said."China is far more reliant on global supply chains than Russia. Spelling out the severe economic consequences of any attack now would be a powerful deterrent.
Putin's attack against Ukraine was a"wake-up call," he said."We have built a Europe based on security provided by the United States, cheap goods from"Overall, we have been too naive when it comes to Russia. We have underestimated the ambitions and brutality of President Putin. At the same time, we have actually overestimated the strength of the Russian military," Rasmussen said at a press conference in Taipei.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former NATO secretary general and former prime minister of Denmark, greets President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan on January 4, 2023, during a three-day visit to Taipei.
