Leicester City are on the hunt for a new manager with Enzo Maresca set to take over at Chelsea and Ruud van Nistelrooy has reportedly emerged as an option to replace him
Former Manchester United forward Ruud van Nistelrooy is reportedly being considered as a potential candidate for the managerial position at Leicester City in their search to replace Enzo Maresca.
With the Italian's departure growing imminent, Leicester are expected to be in search of their fourth manager in just over a year. Familiar face Van Nisterlooy has surfaced as a potential successor. His resignation followed a single season managing the club during which he achieved victory in the Dutch Cup. In addition to experiences helming PSV's youth teams, he also functioned as Guus Hiddink's deputy in the Dutch national team.
A switch back to England would see the Dutchman re-enter the Premier League landscape for the first time since his success-laden spell with Manchester United ended in 2006. His time at the club saw him score 150 goals in 219 appearances.
