'When you are the Late Late Show presenter you belong to a lot of people, they didn't buy that'
Ryan Tubridy says hosting the Late Late Show for another five or ten years would have been "punishment" for his family.Ryan will host his final Late Late Show just two days before his milestone 50th birthday at the end of May.
Ryan is one of the most recognisable faces in the country, but keeps his family life - in particular, his daughters Ella and Julia - out of the limelight. Ryan became host of the Late Late Show in 2009 following previous presenter Pat Kenny's decision to quit after ten years."Ever since I was a child I dreamed of doing a job like the Late Late Show. I used to be off sick from school and watch these daytime talk shows on British television as it was at the time and thought I would love to have a go at that," he continued.
