The former RTE TV and radio presenter attended the launch of Marian Finucane's widower John Clarke's new book launch this week but declined to speak about the RTE scandal
Ryan Tubridy was said to be "all smiles" this week as he attended the launch of John Clarke's new book Finucane & Me: My Life with Marian.
According to the Irish Times, as Ryan took to the stage to speak publicly he joked he was "a little rusty". Making light of the situation, a member of the crowd said Ryan was "a little out of practice," to which he agreed.Speaking about the book, Ryan told attendees at the launch that Marian was a passionate and determined broadcaster, who was never afraid to tackle issues that would have been considered taboo at the time.
When reading the book, Ryan realised that the doctor in question was his father, Patrick Tubridy, and admits this "brought a tear" to his eye.
