Ryan has spoken out and explained his decision
Ryan Tubridy has broken his silence following the announcement that he is stepping down as host of the Late Late Show on RTE."Hello everybody. Can I just say an enormous thank you for all the messages of good will and everything after I announced today that I'll be leaving the Late Late Show on May 26 after 14 years at the helm.

I'll say a few words tomorrow at the top of the show for the Patrick's day special and then we will get down to business for the next 10 after that and then it's goodnight and good luck.Ryan took over hosting duties from Pat Kenny in 2009 and has been the face of the show ever since.
RTE has not made any formal announcement on who will take up the position following Ryan's departure later this year but have confirmed that Tubridy will continue with his radio show.Read more:
