The radio presenter normally fronts his weekday RTE Radio 1 programme called The Ryan Tubridy Show from 9AM until 10AM.
They stated: “Then on the question of the continuing €75,000 payments to Ryan Tubridy next year and into 2025 because his contract was for five years starting in 2020. ‘Negotiations have commenced regarding his radio responsibilities and those negotiations have been paused as with all negotiations as per the board statement.’”
They responded by saying: “We asked RTE this morning if there are exit payments of any type included in any of the management contracts for members of the executive board or for any other category of staff member at RTE.Ryan previously spoke about the controversy, explaining that he was "surprised" and "can't shed any light" on why his payments were treated the way they were.
