Eamon Ryan has written to the Taoiseach warning him that Ireland’s current land use model is “incompatible” with the state’s environmental commitments and Ireland risks reputational damage if it continues to “trade on a green brand while not changing things in reality”.
The Minister for Environment also emphasised that a just transition for farmers had to be central while we “switch to a more sustainable food production system”.
