Ryanair flight issues emergency alert on descent into Manchester Airport

A Ryanair flight into Manchester Airport was forced to transmit a 'general emergency' code as it descended this morning.

Flight number FR4051 from Portugal issued an emergency warning at 10:16am today before touching down several minutes later. The M.E.N understands the plane from Faro made an emergency landing earlier than scheduled due to a 'medical emergency' on board.I's understand medical assistance was sought for a passenger. Ryanair have been contacted by the M.E.N for more information and we will update this article as soon as it arrives.
