Erik ten Hag has said goodbye to life up north after being sacked from his job as the manager of Manchester United.
After he was dismissed, the fallen manager was whisked off to Manchester Airport, where he boarded a jet home to his native country, Holland. The couple also have a £1 million, five bedroom base in Oldenzaal in Twente, Netherlands, a small town he tried to escape to occasionally during his high profile time as the United boss. "He likes it here as he is not bothered by anyone," a resident told the Daily Mail, adding: "Living in England he has not had the opportunity to spend a lot of time here but when he does he is not pestered and he can relax.
