Safiyya Vorajee breaks down in tears on the first anniversary of baby daughter's death
Turning her thoughts to her ex-boyfriend Ashley, who will complete a mammoth 100 mile run in Azaylia's memory today, she continued: 'I'm just praying and hoping the rest of the team and Ashley and everyone else is OK on that run.
'Azaylia you made me a mummy and that title is the most precious one I will treasure forever , knowing I have given birth to my hero my inspiration my daughter is something I will keep close to my heart forever. She concluded: 'With a heavy heart today and everyday baby mummy loves you so much I know your in the highest heaven and you look down on me today sat at your garden side from morning till night reflecting I love you so much.'
Help: The difficult day comes after Safiyya detailed the awful day that her Azaylia passed away in her new book She was given several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant at Birmingham Children's Hospital but she died in April last year. After the funeral, Safiyya described her overwhelming grief and inability to get out of bed or dressed.
The couple decided to launch The Azaylia Foundation to help people going through similar situations, in Azaylia's memory. She said: 'I would tell them to treasure every moment with their child. We really tried to embrace Azaylia as much as we could. And people should just take each day as it comes, and make them smile, you need to keep that positive energy.' As they approached a year's milestone since the loss, the pair announced they have gone their separate ways, but said they remain 'bonded by our powerful journey together' and 'the eternal love we have for our daughter'.

She underwent further surgery to discover whether her leukaemia had gone. Later in the month, doctors revealed her cancer had returned.They were told there were 'very few options' to help the baby's condition before she had another bone marrow test. She relapsed by the end of the month and underwent her fourth round of chemotherapy.to pay for life-saving treatment for his daughter Azaylia.
