In need of a little retail therapy? You can feel about good shopping at the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s Chic Boutique pop-up showroom — all the money raised goes to Houston’s 16 facilities.Volunteer Maggie Austin pointed out exquisite designer pieces on a recent tour: Escada, Tory Burch, Milly, Jimmy Choo — all at discount-store prices. The boutique’s opening festivities kick off at 4 p.m. April 13, with a $20 donation at the door. After that, entry is free.
Proceeds benefit the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Grant Programs. Funds raised support Houston-area projects, including the Jones Residence, Young Adult Resource Center, Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs, Salvation Army Angel Tree and Adult Rehabilitation Center.5510 WeslayanShowroom opens 4-7 p.m. April 13 with a $20 entrance fee. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 14-16, with no entrance fee.
