Sam Greenwood has played three times for Preston North End this season
Spare a thought for Sam Greenwood . The Leeds United forward only joined Preston North End on loan last month and is now preparing to work under his THIRD different manager of the embryonic 2024/25 season.
Mike Marsh was placed in interim charge of the Lilywhites following Lowe's exit. He oversaw a 2-0 win over Sunderland in the Carabao Cup before a 3-0 loss to Swansea City over the weekend, with Greenwood featuring as a second half substitute in the past two fixtures after starting their league opener against the Blades.
Marsh stepped down from his role following two matches in charge, saying he did not wish to apply for the job on a permanent basis. "Mike has thanked the club for the opportunity to take interim charge, but he does not wish to apply for the job on a permanent basis or take the club forward," Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale wrote in a statement on the club's website.
