One of Simon Easterby's biggest calls will be who to put in the out-half position
Alan Quinlan believes Sam Prendergast is "slightly ahead" of Jack Crowley in the race for Ireland's No.10 jersey against England on February 1st.
"They're difficult positions to fill when somebody's in that jersey for so long. And essentially Ireland have three really good players there - I think there are two who are natural out-half players," he said, referring to Prendergast and Crowley, with the versatile Ciarán Frawley also able to step into that No.10 role.
"Albeit it's more of an armchair ride playing behind that Leinster pack, respectfully to what Munster are at, just the depth and the strength that Leinster have. "I think he's still a wonderful player as well," said the Tipperary man who was talking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Six Nations odds.
"Prendergast has these lovely silky skills. They may help improve that attack and get that Ireland attack going again and kicked into gear. So I'm not exactly sure who's going to start, it’s very close, but it's a good thing for Ireland that they have two brilliant players.
