Adoption fees for adult dogs are waived Feb. 14-19 during the San Diego Humane Society's 'Find Your Perfect Match' promotion
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and to encourage residents to adopt a pet that is “their perfect match,” the San Diego Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for adult dogs though Sunday.
The nonprofit animal shelter is currently caring for 435 dogs and is at 122 percent capacity for its canines, so it’s hoping adopters will come and “fall in love at first wag” with a pup and take him or her home. Adoption fees are waived for the next few days during the “Find Your Perfect Match” promotion thanks to support from the nonprofit Petco Love.There are currently about 220 dogs ready and waiting for adoption, the Humane Society says.Volunteer to foster a pet temporarily in your home, which frees up much-needed space at the shelter.
