San Diego revives commission focused on equality for women after two-decade hiatus [Breaking]
San Diego is reviving a city panel focused on helping women overcome inequities and barriers to success.
“It’s long past time we revive this commission to ensure the City is supporting women’s long march toward equality,” Mayor Todd Gloria said. In conjunction with reviving the panel, the city will draft an ordinance implementing the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, Councilmember Marni von Wilpert said.
