Country music legend Sandy Kelly has said she leans on her niece Sandie after the death of her sister Barbara, who died by suicide four years ago.
Sandy told RSVP Country: "Sandie is my rock. I first saw Sandie minutes after she was born and we had a connection straight away. She said: "Sandie is back home after finishing her degree in college and doing some travelling. She has job interviews lined up. The country music star said: "This is my first album in 30 years, I don’t know how I’m still working.
The music industry in Ireland is wonderful in many ways, but it’s also difficult, especially for women. For Sandy, it has been a hard career and she has faced a lot of challenges in terms of being treated differently and being paid less.
